Meet the founder, Christine.

CHARMartistry was founded in 2008 by Christine and her sister Chuana. Although Chuana ventured off growing her own company @beautybychuana, Christine continued to expand CHARMartistry further by creating other pillars to the existing brand such as consulting, educating, social media and more. Originally the brand was only a mobile hair and makeup service for special events such as weddings. She studied Chemical Engineering at Sheridan College and worked for over 20yrs in the cosmetic industry. Her extensive experience in various departments dealing with top beauty brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, and Estēe Lauder to name a few, have given her an appreciation of the type of quality tests needed to uphold the brand name. She worked in departments such as Method Development, Stability, Regulatory, Quality Assurance/Control and the vast majority of her career was in the Colour Lab. This unique skill required training in colour comparison to standard, matching for undertone, overtone, payoff, texture, odour, consistency from batch to batch, and overall performance. She currently works for DIOR as a Sales Specialist to appreciate the high end brand and deliver its products to new and existing clients. At Glow College of Artistic Design, she’s an Instructor for Cosmetic Science, Formulation, Bridal / Fashion / Media hair and makeup classes. With the vast majority of skills and experience, it allowed CHARMartistry to expand to what it is today.

Hands on Beauty service

The services provided by CHARMartistry go beyond simple makeup and hair styling. Christine and her team of talented artists take the time to listen to each client’s needs and preferences. They create a look that enhances their natural beauty and reflects their personality and style. The team’s approach is to improve their client’s unique features. Some clients don’t love the full on glam transformation while others do. It’s all personal and we allow that opportunity to work together and mesh artist and clients style into one.
They cater to models and photographers for a Fashion Shoot by reviewing mood boards, and overall expectations to achieve those shots. Featured in many magazines, the look was captured and recognized.
They also work with various Production companies for actors to look the part. A discussion with the camera crew on premise gives insight on how they should look to deliver the overall message.
